Office Volunteer
Our sweet and welcoming volunteers answer the phones and greet our clients when they contact Interfaith.  Office volunteers create files and hold brief phone interviews with our new clients. They also do other office related work. 
 
Intake Volunteer
Private phone interviews are held by our intake volunteers with all clients needing assistance with rent or utilities.  They visit with each client one-on-one very thoughtfully in a more detailed interview to determine how Interfaith can best help a client's needs. Intake volunteers complete very necessary paperwork on each client and collaborate with other volunteers as an advocate for their client. Our intake volunteers have the special strength of listening and empathizing with a client during their difficult situations. 
 
Pantry Volunteer
Based on general guidelines, our pantry volunteers choose needed items for each individual or family. They have the responsibility of weighing, sorting, and organizing items as donations arrive.  Pantry volunteers do not come in to contact with clients often, but of course show an attitude of kindness and compassion as they give them their food.
